Quality Manager (Marketing)
Job Responsibilities:
• Serves as the main point of contact for customer issues and relations
• Ensures that processes needed for the quality management system are established, implemented and maintained.
• Reports to top management on the performance of the quality management system and any need for improvement.
• Has responsibility for product quality and shall have the authority to stop production to correct quality problems.
• Ensures the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization
• Directs activities to develop new policies and procedures to achieve quality requirements.
• Forecasts operating costs of department and directs preparation of budget requests.
• Resolves problems using solutions that involve new techniques, technologies, or concepts.
• Provides direction and example for interpretation and application of company policies and procedures to the quality activities.
• Maintains a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.
• Maintains a working knowledge of new technologies which may improve operations, and develops recommendations accordingly while ensuring proper quality controls are in place
• Promotes Continuous improvement of the processes
• Serves as the QSM Management Rep for IATF 16949/ISO 9001 certification
• Tracks and communicates warranty claims issued to the Manning facility
• Supports Site Manager as backup when needed
• Serves as the quality representative for the Manning plant in cross functional meetings with corporate engineering and purchasing
• Utilizes the AIAG Core Tools as guides for achieving quality objectives (PCP/APQP/pFMEA/SPC)
• Ability to travel with minimal notice in the event an issue arises at a customer
• Must be able to learn all facets of the Meritor product line so as to offer customer guidance when needed
• Ensures that the current metrology process is current and meets all required certifications
• Must become efficient in the Meritor reporting systems as defined by Corporate Quality (Windchill, MOS, Reliance System, SharePoint and ETQ)
• Bachelor's degree Required
• Minimum of 5 years in Quality Management activities required
• ASQ, CQE or CRE a plus
• Experience implementing and/or have experience with IATF 16949, ISO 9000, and/or ISO 14001 required.
• Experience in all aspects of quality (plant level supplier product development and launch, customer satisfaction and warranty)
• Product planning responsibility
• IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification Supervisory experience in Quality preferred
• Basic GD&T knowledge and blue print reading required
• Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black) preferred
• Problem solving (8D/A3) Methodology required.
• Heat Treat and Metrology experience required.
