The Aircraft Mechanic III inspects and approves authorized repairs and modifications to aircraft structures, components, engines, flight controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems and other mechanical components. The Mechanic III applies extensive technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining system malfunctions and guides other mechanics in restoring equipment condition and operation. They may solve complex problems using approved technical data such as blueprints or manufacturers manuals.
• Must have a minimum of five (5) years Aviation Maintenance Experience.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Must be a US Citizen with ability to pass a thorough Background check and Drug Screen in order to obtain and maintain a CAC card (will need to pass FBI fingerprint & NACI).
• Should be knowledgeable in Army Aviation Historical records.
• Should be familiar with ACN (aircraft notebook).
• Should have a working knowledge of Army technical publications IETMS, TM's & DMWRS.
