The Senior Manager, ASPICE Process will be based in Farmington Hills, MI. This role is responsible for leading Flex's ASPICE implementation and capabilities for OEM customer product development.  This is a global position where you will provide technical leadership to develop ASPICE competencies, establish best practices and define ongoing training across Flex's global design centers.  This will span all Flex Automotive product categories including ADAS, Autonomous Driving, Connectivity, Electrification, HMI, etc.

You will guide, support and manage a distributed team responsible for assuring program level ASPICE compliance. In order to do this, you will work closely with both internal and external engineering teams to ensure ASPICE compliance and provide technical guidance in the form of consulting and independent peer reviews of the system with other cross-functional teams.

You are a motivated and broadly capable automotive engineering leader with demonstrated APSICE and quality experience for complex hardware and software systems in a Tier 1 or OEM environment.

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:

  • Support the overall product development culture within the organization
  • Evaluate, develop and implement policies, standards and practices
  • Coordinate development of business processes compliant with A-SPICE requirements, in collaboration with process owners
  • Lead deployment of A-SPICE process, monitor progress and report to senior management.
  • Lead the assessment of process implementation and monitor standards: processes, guidelines and support tools for deployment
  • Train and coach project teams to implement the overall A-SPICE practices required to comply with the intended maturity level.
  • Perform internal audits and implement A-SPICE continuous improvement plan.
  • Establish reports based on KPI and monitor global performance
  • Provide technical leadership for global teams performing OEM product development.
  • Establish and manage the required processes, tools and documentation standards to achieve required ASPICE levels
  • Evaluate and select 3rd party APSICE resources, establish partnerships, develop SOW.
  • Support high priority customer engagements as a Functional Safety subject matter expert.

Here is some of what you'll need (required):

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related Engineering discipline.
  • High level of oral, written and interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers and others.
  • 5-10 years' Tier 1 or OEM experience in ASPCIE with a track record of launching high volume automotive products
  • Experience defining training needs and developing training plans.
  • Experience in deployment of new development processes in organizations (e.g. SPICE, CMMI, ...)
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Knowledgeable in ISO and IATF standards
  • Prior success in implementation of ASPICE, CMMI and similar process standards
  • Ability to travel internationally.
  • Familiarity with Polarian and other ALM tools

Here are a few of our preferred experiences:

  • Proven experience in process consulting, quality management, process definition, process facilitation and quality assurance in ASPICE model
  • Experience in Process Compliance Audits / Internal Quality Audits
  • ASPICE INTACS certified Lead assessor preferred or provisional assessor certification from industry recognized certification body
  • Experience in Process models and standards such as CMMI-DEV, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 26262 and Six Sigma
  • Exposure to multiple OEMs in an Engineering role.
  • An advanced degree in Engineering
