Safety at Zingerman's Roadhouse
The health and safety of our staff is our greatest priority. We are adamantly following the guidelines and directives from the CDC, Washtenaw County, the State of Michigan and other experts.
We've been inspected by MIOSHA in partnership with NSF and have received their Highest Tier 2 rating which acknowledges COVID-19 workplace safety commitments and efforts to keep customers and employees safe.
We are focusing on screening, sanitizing and distancing on our entire property:
We are screening all employees who come to work each day for symptoms.
All staff members wear masks at all times anywhere on our property, inside or outside
All guests must wear masks at all times anywhere on our property, inside or outside, unless they are dining at a table
We have set up safe working distances for every employee.
We practice social distancing of a minimum of 6 feet from each other, including workspaces and guest seating.
Performance Expectations - Essential Functions:
Arrives on time for all scheduled shifts, meetings, and classes.
Efficiently washes plates, glasses, utensils, pots, and pans utilizing automatic dishwasher and 3 compartment sink
Properly unloads, sorts, and stores clean dishes
Sweeps, scrubs and mops floors
Cleans floor mats, drains, walls, shelves, windows and restrooms
Cleans and sanitizes foodservice equipment
Sorts and removes trash, recycling, and compostables to designated pickup areas outside of the building
Stock and replenish cleaning supplies and chemicals
Demonstrates proper usage and storage of cleaning chemicals and supplies
Follows and complies with all applicable health and sanitation procedures as well as Zingerman's safety guidelines
Follows and upholds all of Zingerman's Roadhouse standards.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Assist in kitchen prep as directed
Performs other tasks as directed by leadership
The Success Patterns for this position are:
Able to work all scheduled shifts including weekends and holidays
Can effectively handle multiple tasks and high stress situations
Must be able to work at a fast pace
Reliable transportation to and from work with varying start and end times
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to move and position self around the kitchen, the basement and on the dining floor during the shift
Bending, stooping, and being positioned upright for long periods at a time
Must be able to safely relocate up to 65 lbs.
Must be able to ascend and descend between basement and dining floor.
