Role description:

Arcadis is currently searching for a Management Consultant to join our Resilience Water Team's Business Advisory & Digital Advisory team in Houston, Texas.

The primary focus for this role will be applying technology solutions, combined with business principles, to the water distribution, wastewater collection system and stormwater modeling, evaluations, investigations, planning, feasibility studies, design and construction functions. We want dedicated, creative, and energetic candidates interested in tackling challenges and developing sustainable, data-driven solutions to address water issues like renewal and replacement of aging infrastructure, funding of capital improvements, asset management, advanced metering infrastructure, water supply, workforce retention and development, and emergency preparedness. Collaborating with our experienced consulting professionals, you will support and contribute to project outcomes; interact, and work with clients, and develop your technical capabilities.

As a part of the business advisory team, you'll work with some of the most advanced water, wastewater, and stormwater utilities that improve the quality of life in the world around us, supporting long-term sustainability initiatives and promoting a resilient natural and built environment.

Role accountabilities:

As a Management Consultant, you will play a critical role in supporting technology and resilience initiatives for utility, municipal, and private clients. Your responsibilities will include evaluating, planning, designing, and implementing solutions for data analytics, process automation, software development, and general consulting initiatives.

You will support both business advisory and traditional engineering projects by providing research and executing tasks to deliver high profile projects/programs in the region and nationally. Your contributions will help shape and implement strategies to enhance the resilience communities and infrastructure.

You will also:

  • Act as a stream resource on projects to support the successful delivery of specific outputs individually or as part of a team.
  • Identify information sources and collect relevant data to support project delivery.
  • Analyze data to uncover insights that will inform the design of consulting solutions and development of sales proposals.
  • Contribute to the preparation of client reports and presentations.
  • Present the outcomes of analysis at team meetings to ensure the insights gained are clearly communicated and to propose ways in which these may be leveraged to add value.
  • Develop understanding of the services delivered by Arcadis and of client businesses to enable personal performance improvement and career development.
  • Execute multiple concurrent tasks with multiple deadlines, ensuring completion per project budgets and timelines.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Computer or Data Science, Management Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or closely related STEM discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree (MS or Ph.D.) in Computer or Data Science, Civil or Environmental Engineering, Management Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or closely related STEM discipline; or Business Analytics/MBA, related business discipline.
  • 2 or more years' experience in consulting, technology, utility, or similar industry.
  • Experience in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies and applications is a plus
  • Experience in data analysis applications or programming languages is a plus (Microsoft Power Bi, Tableau, R, Python, SQL, etc.)
  • Ability to gain certifications in related subject matter (e.g. EIT, CAPM, MCP, etc.)

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $53,094 - $84,950. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
