  • FPC or CPP a plus
  • 5 or more years of payroll processing experience required
  • Experience working with SAP is a plus

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to explain complex subjects in simple terms

TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist in Atlanta, GA.

Responsible for supporting and processing payroll

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform daily payroll department operations
  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
  • Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits
  • Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance
  • Execute eTime time and attendance processing and interface with payroll
  • Perform compliances for unclaimed property payroll checks
  • Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed
  • Process manual check and relocation metric's
  • Load export files to 3rd party vendors (NEI Benefits, Banco Santander, Local 1 Benefits, Banco Popular)
  • Research and email appropriate audience of file issues
  • Work closely with Human Resources and Accounting on payroll related issues
  • Ensure weekly and biweekly payroll are processed timely and accurately
  • Review non-exempt personnel time sheets for compliance with state and federal requirements
  • Review computed wages and correct errors
  • Work with authorities (i.e. IRS) on audits or requests
  • Verify/prepare payments to 3rd party vendors
  • Implement and/or streamline procedures within the department to facilitate efficient processing of payroll and payroll related reporting
  • Mentor and train payroll coordinators
  • Analyze payroll issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain payroll system up-to-date and accurate.
  • Serve as 2nd tier for payroll issue escalations ensure all changes are processed correctly
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files (includes manual check log)
  • Review and audit master file and pay data entries and YTD totals
  • Prepare various reports for accounting, workers compensation, etc.
  • Review and administer all garnishment deductions
  • Respond to employee inquiries and requests regarding payroll matters
  • Maintain client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
  • Cross-trained on all payroll operations
  • Oversee electronic payments and distribution of payroll checks
  • Process other compensation (annual bonus, severance, etc.)
  • Produce reports to senior level management as requested
  • Work with authorities (i.e. IRS) on audits or requests
  • Verify/prepare payments to 3rd party vendors
  • Implement and/or streamline procedures within the department to facilitate efficient processing of payroll and payroll related reporting
