Supervisory IT Specialist (Regulatory Technology Program Director) (Finance)

Responsibilities

As a Supervisory IT Specialist (Regulatory Technology Program Director), you will:

  • Serve as the principal lead for the Operations Division in supporting the Bureau's regulatory technology efforts and alignment to the Dodd-Frank Act. Ensure the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision, and values inform our regulatory reporting technologies. Serve as a subject matter expert for efforts involving statutorily required data sets, emerging technologies, and industry trends.
  • Formulate a vision and strategy that anticipates future requirements and capabilities for the agency's regulatory reporting products. Research, evaluate, and report on new and emerging developments with software products, technologies, trends, product management strategies, and advancements in industry.
  • Advise and collaborate with a complex set of interoffice and interdivisional stakeholders, including senior leadership, to help advise on the development of regulatory reporting products and their importance to achieving the Bureau's mission. Advise senior CFPB decision-makers on matters related to program planning, discovery, technical architecture, open-source technologies, data strategy and accuracy, and associated pipelines and analytics. Continuously manage expectations of stakeholders with varying levels of seniority, as well as technical expertise and identifies emerging opportunities in regulatory reporting, the collection and processing of complaint data, non-traditional market monitoring, and opportunities for modernization.
