The HRIS Administrator is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, reporting, and functional support of RTD's Workday Human Capital Management system (HCM). This role works closely with Human Resource, Information Technology, and business users to optimize system functionality, ensure data integrity, and support Human Resources operations and strategic initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

HRIS Administration

Support the workflow design, configuration, and performance of RTD's Workday system while ensuring end-user needs are met.

  • Administers and maintains business processes, security roles, and supervisory structures.
  • Troubleshoots, escalates, and resolves Workday technical and functional issues.
  • Provides second-level support for end-user questions and problem resolution.
  • Maintains and documents change management processes in compliance with audit requirements.
  • Participates in release reviews, impact assessments, and system testing.
  • Stays current with HCM updates and proactively recommend adoption of new features.

Reporting and Analysis

Provide meaningful and compliant data insights through customized Workday reporting tools.

  • Build and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and fields in the HCM.
  • Analyze and fulfill internal requests for data, dashboards, and workforce metrics.
  • Develop tools that support operational decisions and strategic initiatives.
  • Reviews report-related functionality in Workday releases and assists with deployment.
  • Conducts regular audits to support data accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensures all reporting complies with data and confidentiality requirements.

User Support and Collaboration

Improve user experience and operational effectiveness through training and collaboration.

  • Supports and trains business users on system use and adoption.
  • Creates job aids, training materials, and process documentations.
  • Partners with stakeholders to streamline processes and enhance system efficiency.
  • Monitors and tracks system issues, enhancements, and feedback loops.
  • Supports testing activities for system changes, upgrades, and feature rollouts.
  • Supports agency initiatives and cross-functional projects involving Workday.
  • Maintains a customer-service mindset and communicates regularly with end users on status updates.

And

  • Additional job-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • At least three (3) years of progressive experience working with Workday or similar HCM, with hands on report development.
  • Proficiency in supporting Workday or similar HCM modules, such as Core HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Reporting and/or Recruiting.
  • Proficiency in report writing, business intelligence or dashboard development.
  • Experience conducting testing and user support.
  • Understanding of HCM business processes, reporting and security.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience with Workday-specific Studio, EIBs and integrations.
  • Experience working in public sector environments, public transit a plus.
  • Experience with change control documentation and audit compliance.
  • Knowledge of workforce data analysis and HR metrics.

  • Understanding of HR processes.
  • Strong critical thinking, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g. PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Attention to detail, time management, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to data privacy, integrity, and compliance.

  • This role primarily involves sedentary work in an office environment, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental conditions.

Pay Range:

$71,043.00 - $100,348.50 Annual

RTD posts a compensation range that represents a good faith estimate of what RTD anticipates paying for the position at the time of posting.  Starting salary is based on the candidate's relevant and verified education, training and work experience.  Applicants should submit all relevant and verifiable education, training and work experiences at the time of application.
