Business Analytics Advisor - Adoption Innovation Lab - Evernorth - Remote (Finance)

This role sits within the Adoption Innovation Lab team and supports the associated functional processes within Adoption Center organization. This position will be part of a team to design activities that assist the iteration and scaling of new capabilities to the impacted business processes/owners. Grounded through analysis of expected business outcomes and associated metrics and KPIs in a business test and learn environment.

Role will be heavily focused on creation of ideal test scenarios to ensure business outcomes are being tested against delivered capabilities, ultimately enabling the program value as planned. The ideal candidate will also have experience in documenting business requirements for technical teams to build efficiencies through reporting and process automation to enable our teams to derive insights and track findings without wasting manual effort on repetitive tasks. Candidate would need to represent our teams by documenting our reporting, dashboard, or process automation needs and be able to influence the build of those with peer technical teams.

The Business Analytics Advisor should be familiar with data analysis, process improvement, innovative test & learn methods, designing and maintaining insights/outcomes, identifying and implementing new automation, assisting in the development and enhancement of processes, and analyzing results to improve better outcomes. This role will also be vital to driving innovation and ensuring the Adoption of new technology within the organization is done with the business (customer) in mind.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Deriving insights from data sets to measure and report out on expected outcomes for the business.
  • Ensuring issues are raised appropriately when tied to risks or defects with the appropriate technology teams along with keeping the voice of Operations at the forefront of all decisions.
  • Directly guiding delivery and operational teams in using our innovative test & learn methods to identify issues with newly delivered capabilities when tested with the associated business processes
  • Comfortable working in an environment with priorities often change based on project needs - ability to prioritize work accordingly
  • Works independently and collaboratively with Cigna and Cigna's Global Service Partners to identify additional opportunities for innovation within the process and ensuring new capabilities being delivered are achieving expected value when adopted by the impacted business areas
  • Demonstrated ability to tell the story of the data for the business to help influence process enhancements
  • Collaboration with both tech and business teams and other key matrix partners to push progress and increase speed of adoption by the business while retaining expected outcomes and value of the program throughout
  • Creating and maintaining documentation for all developed and supported processes and tools - being a leader and a self-starter, not a follower
  • Ability to delivery quickly with little direction in an ambiguous environment - often requiring multiple iterations to accomplish the final product over time
  • Able to organize and execute project deliverables with high quality, leadership, and drive strategic execution
  • Comfortable leaning in to learn complex data relationships and making connections to other parts of the organization that may be impacted by the data or outcomes as you learn more over the course of the project
  • Builds and maintains working relationships with functional areas inside and outside of the team
  • Maintains project issues/risk logs, implement mitigation strategies, and confirm all issues are resolved appropriately - in partnership with Adoption Issue Management leads on the team
  • Leads regular project driven meetings as necessary to review progress and priorities - is often a key contributor to high level leadership report out on data outcomes, insights, and risks to the program at any given time with little notice
  • Ensures a positive, collaborative work environment among the team

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree or higher strongly preferred or equivalent work experience required
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience working in a role deriving insights from large data sets using critical thinking and innovative analysis approaches, all in a business environment but able to speak the language of technology to bridge gaps
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience working in a role focused on improvement of business processes
  • Strong data mining and analytical skills from a business perspective
  • Demonstrates excellent oral, presentation, and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively within diverse groups
  • Excellent organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities that differ in complexity and scope
  • Self-directed, works independently with minimal oversight
  • Functions as a team player and peer leader often filling gaps when others may not take the initiative
  • Proficient critical thinking skills with the ability to identify process gaps and determine root causes with consistency in results
  • Ability to build, manage and develop successful teams indirectly with influence
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Knowledge of Medicare and/or Commercial Network, Contract and Demographic provider data elements highly preferred
  • Strong PowerPoint presentation skills with the ability to discuss data analysis results and root cause defects through storytelling to influence process improvements and/or to raise issues identified
  • Experience working in CPF or HCPM highly desired

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 96,000 - 160,000 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
