S3, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Configuration Management Analyst to support projects on Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL.
Position Description: The Configuration Management (CM) Engineer/Analyst will provide technical support in Configuration Management field for the Performance Management Directorate, Precision Fires Rocket and Missile Systems PMO. Duties include: reviewing and validating 3D models, drawings and parts lists for missile systems, launchers and subsystem components for the suite of munitions and launchers managed by the STORM PMO; assuring technical documentation is in accordance with MIL-STD-31000; providing technical support and expertise to Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs) to validate requirements and Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs) to validate production drawings at prime contractor facilities and major subcontractors; participating in and supporting the performance of CM system/process audits including recommendations on audit plan; reviewing and validating Data Rights Markings with goal of positioning USG for organic sustainment and completion; and, providing technical support to change control management (ECPs, ERRs, NORs) and support to Configuration Change Board activities. Requires coordination between elements of the Project Office related to Configuration items and configuration control.
Experience/Skills Required : Experience developing functional knowledge of program/task order specific requirements. Demonstrated ability in developing functional requirements for complex projects. Must have the ability to review and validate 2D drawings; have a fundamental knowledge of MIL-STD-31000; and, have FCA/PCA experience.
Education Required : Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant functional experience or HS diploma (GED) and 11 years of relevant technical experience. Mechanical engineering degree is preferred.
