RN - Cardiovascular Coordinator – 100% FTE, Day - University Hospital and The American Center (TAC) (9040) (Healthcare)

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to:
· Educate patients and families regarding all aspects of cardiovascular disease management, diagnostic and interventional procedures.
· Assess patient's benefit coverage and communicate with hospital personnel responsible for payment of procedures, treatments and issues of medical necessity.
· Collaborate with the cardiovascular multidisciplinary team to ensure quality follow up medical care and interventions are provided.
Education:
Minimum - Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Preferred - Master's degree in nursing.
Work Experience:
Minimum - Three (3) years of nursing experience with emphasis on cardiovascular patient care.
Preferred - Five (5) years of relevant clinical knowledge. Five (5) years of experience in a multiple cardiac setting.
Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum - Registered Nurse, Licensed in the State of Wisconsin. Basic Life Support/CPR.
Preferred - ACLS certification.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Physical Requirements:
Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
Work Schedule:
This is a Day shift position, Monday through Friday. With variable eight (8) hour shifts between the hours of 07:30-17:00. No weekend and no holiday rotation required. Hours may vary based on operational needs of department.
