Process Improvement Specialist

As a Process Improvement Specialist, you will be focused on continuous improvement. You will lead projects in all aspects of the business, focusing on continuous improvement of processes and problem-solving methods. You must demonstrate a high degree of analytical skills and understanding and knowledge of business processes. Looking through eyes of our customers and using an outside-in perspective you will help shape the new approach to processes that will be optimized or re-engineered. Contribute as part of the team responsible for effectively implementing business process management practices throughout the enterprise. You must be able to motivate, challenge and inspire high performance while invigorating the enterprise with a culture of continuous improvement. Approach changes and uncertainty with flexibility. You will use analytical and problem-solving skills for holistic improvements. You will show process stakeholders how to identify and solve process challenges through simulation of different scenarios, analysis of performance metrics and advanced optimization techniques. As a Process Improvement Specialist, you should have a make it happen mentality; be strategic and can make things happen. Demonstrated ability to work independently, problem solve, and meet critical deadlines.

  • You will build effective working relationships with business partners within the team and the organization. You must be highly collaborative, as your work will touch many parts of the enterprise to include Sales, Physical & Digital Operations, Merchandising, Marketing, Business Systems, Information Technology, Finance, Legal, Analytics/Data Science, Reporting and Distribution Center.
  • You will understand the business and associated processes, suggests areas for improvement, and facilitates process automation. They will work closely with the business units and technology group team to address the tactical day-to-day aspects of discovering, validating, documenting and communicating business-process-related knowledge through modeling, simulating and analyzing current and future states.
  • You will ensure changes to the process environment are carried out in a seamless fashion.
  • You will confer with process owners within the business to analyze current operational procedures, identify areas for improvement, and offer possible solutions
  • You will document user needs, functions required, and steps needed to improve a process
  • You will communicate and translate requirements effectively between business process areas and supporting departments (such as the technology organization) Reviews technology capabilities and workflows to determine if program or system changes are possible
  • You will lead internal teams, trains internal teams on new implementations; plan and prepare reports/instruction documentation as required.
  • You will search internal and external resources for pre-built models, templates and services to meet process needs You will perform continuous reviews to align processes (for example, models, goals, expectations) with changing business conditions. You will maintain and share process knowledge.

Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, technology, economics, business or applicable field of study
  • 1-3 years of experience in Hands-on experience delivering business process change.
  • 1 year of experience in Lean, Agile or Six Sigma, or the equivalent combination of education and experience with some certification.
  • 1-3 years experience training and developing internal partners.
  • 1-3 years experience in facilitating team initiatives with proven leadership skills for leading a team.
  • Able to lead, direct, and manage all phases of a project cycle; Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring, Stabilizing, and Closing.
  • Proven track record of driving continuous improvement.
  • Basic knowledge of job standardization training materials; SOP, OMS, RoCK, SSOP, and/or SWS, Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with to Business Process Management tools (Nintex) – Preferred.
