ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. - Ability to operate a forklift safely in a manufacturing location. Read and comprehend schematics, manufacturer manuals and guidelines to perform daily maintenance checks on forklifts, computers, and carts. Ensure safe operation and follow all established rules and policies regarding forklift operation. - Receive and store all finished goods produced by manufacturing. - Maintain inventory control of all finished goods received, including use of bar codes. - Retrieve stock as necessary to fill orders. - Stencil cartons or attach labels as required by customers. - Ensure all trailer wheels are properly chalked and that floor bed is safe before driving load onto trailer. - Assist drivers in loading stock weighing 10 to 50 pounds on trailers. - Responsible for counts and item accuracy on all loads shipped. - Ensure shipments are packed properly and protected against damage in transit. - Rearrange warehouse as directed by Warehouse Supervisor to accommodate production. - Receive finished goods from outside production sources and be responsible for counts and putting goods into inventory. - Keep department clean and organized. - Perform cycle counts. - Ensure all trailers are properly restrained and that the floor bed is safe before driving load onto trailer.
