State Street Markets Client Onboarding Specialist, Assistant Vice President

Who we are looking for

The Client Onboarding Function within State Street Markets is key to the success of the organization. This role acts as a valued partner to the Securities Finance team - in the onboarding of Lending counterparties and clients, addressing client inquiries and facilitation of legal negotiations.

As our investment research and trading arm, State Street Markets' number one goal is to enhance and preserve our clients' portfolio values by applying technology, optimizing trading, and linking asset classes and markets across the world.

What you will be responsible for

As a Client Service professional, you will:

  • Work with State Street Markets clients to obtain relevant information for account onboarding.
  • Input relevant onboarding information into the onboarding tool and shepherd request through the onboarding lifecycle.
  • Effectively and transparently manage and resolve client queries and escalations.
  • Facilitate the completion of contractual documents.
  • Facilitate communication between Client Service Onboarding and other internal teams to ensure timely onboarding of trading accounts.
  • Work closely with operations, AML/KYC, legal, and risk, communicating specific client requests and aligning client requests with State Street's internal policies and requirements.
  • Communicate with Securities Finance relationship managers, providing updates on specific clients onboard, keeping them informed of any issues or developments.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • BS/BA degree required, MBA desirable.
  • Must have a minimum of 7 years of related experience, preferably in financial services industry.

Additional requirements
  • Advanced Excel experience will be considered a strong plus.

  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Takes ownership of issues and see them to resolution on behalf of clients.

Salary Range:
$80,000 - $132,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
