The Integrated Design and Advisory business vertical is one of the business verticals at Michael Baker International with more than 850 professional located across the country. Integrated Design leverages the early involvement of all project stakeholders and key disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural and fire protection (MEP+S+FP) engineering, as well as architecture and planning. JOB DESCRIPTION

The Architecture and Engineering (A&E) Project Manager will prepare and develops construction project documents IAW the most current DOD, Air Force, and Host Nation policies, procedures and design criteria to define RFP requirements for FSRM, MILCON, other DOD planning, design and construction programs. Additionally, they manage and oversee construction projects IAW the contract as well as the most current DOD, Air Force, and Host Nation policies, procedures and design criteria for FSRM, and MILCON. This includes assisting in conducting independent reviews of the performance and products of contracts; review, evaluate and track, non-PMO contractor-generated contract progress reports, progress schedules, monthly status reports, financial management, and expenditure reports; identify problems of insufficient data, missing data, or other unsupported elements of non-PMO contractor submittals; provide technical review and risk assessment of projects and coordination and completion of all project close-out documents (e.g. DD1354s, non-PMO contractor furnished As-Built drawings).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

•Directs and coordinates staffing plans and activities of project personnel to ensure projects progress on schedule and within prescribed budget
•Excellent communication skills including graphic, verbal, and written between the project team, clients, vendors, and contractors
•Occasional travel will be required

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

•Bachelor or Master in Architecture or Building Engineering disciplines (Structural, Mechanical, Civil, Fire Protection or Electrical Engineering)
•Minimum 8 years of experience in architecture or building engineering fields, with a minimum of 5 years managing projects, teams, and clients
•Professional Engineer OR Registered Architecture license Required
•Ability to reside and/or relocate to Misawa, Japan for Minimum 1 year
•US Citizen

Desired Qualifications:

•Federal DoD experience
•Design/Build alternative project delivery experience
•Experience with Building Information Modeling (Revit), Bluebeam, and AutoCAD
•Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office products
•Project Management Professional certification (PMP)

COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $100,000-$174,000. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.

LOCATION

This position is located on the Misawa Air Base in Japan, and would require this person to reside there or be able to relocate there for a minimum of 1 year. Relocation assistance is available.

The Architecture and Engineering (A&E) Project Manager will lead and execute interdisciplinary projects with a focus on federal projects but will include a broad range of customer and project types.
