Entry-level Water Resoures Engineer (Finance)
Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, collect and interpret field data, and conduct watershed assessments and water quality studies.
Provide design support for water resources aspects of projects, including storm drain systems, stormwater management facilities, ESD/LID facilities, erosion and sediment control, and other related aspects.
Assist in determining compliance requirements and preparing to permit documentation.
Review design criteria and prepare construction drawings and specifications.
Develop quantities, prepare cost estimates and provide construction management.
Use CADD software to produce deliverables.
Qualifications:
B.S. in Civil Engineering (Environmental). The degree may be completed within 9 months following application.
Engineer-in-Training Certification preferred, with a desire to obtain PE licensure.
Coursework in hydrology, hydraulics, open channel flow, sediment transport, soils, and/or geomorphology is desirable.
Basic knowledge in hydrologic data collection, topographic surveying, and proficiency in MicroStation, ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, TR-20, and GISHydro software is a plus.
Basic knowledge of more advanced modeling in one or more specialized areas of H&H modeling (e.g., bridge scour, sediment transport, 2D analysis, etc.) is a plus.
Basic knowledge of stream restoration and watershed planning is a plus.
Basic knowledge of computer-aided drafting programs.
