The Y offers developmentally appropriate, curriculum-based programs that help children grow personally, learn values, improve personal relationships, appreciate diversity, become better leaders and supporters, and develop specific skills and assets. Group and individual activities include leadership development activities, daily field trips, arts & humanities projects, healthy snack time & physical activities, STEM activities, Social Responsibility projects, and more! Summer Day Camp Staff is responsible for providing a high quality, developmentally appropriate experience for the children in the program. They will oversee the program curriculum and environment to meet the needs of the children and families. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for kids and the ability to build genuine relationships with participants, maintaining a welcoming environment with a diverse population. Starting Wage Range: $9.59 - $13.07, DOE Employment Dates: Downtown & Caldwell locations: May 25th - August 14th Meridian & Eagle locations: June 3rd - August 21st Key Qualifications: Must be 16 years of age and older. Must have or be willing to obtain a Boise City Child Care license upon hire. The ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge and experience in developing and implementing daily lesson plans and creating an environment to meet the cognitive, social, emotional and physical needs of the kids. Applicants must be able to build warm and supportive relationships with children, families, and staff in the program. Schedule Requirements: This is a full-time, seasonal position over the summer. Operating hours are 6:30am - 6:30pm, Monday-Friday. Staff will work four 10-hour shifts weekly. Physical Requirements: Job requires ability to walk, stand, sit (including on the floor), bend, lean, and kneel in a variety of indoor and outdoor settings for extended periods.
