Champion site implementation and assured compliance to Corporate EHS Minimum Operating Requirements (MOR's) and the Global Environmental Management System (GEMS).
Verify compliance with applicable regulations (IOSHA/FedOSHA, NFPA, ACGIH, ANSI, IDEM/EPA, ISO14001, DOT).
Lead site EHS committees.
Champion site 6S program.
Participate in Global Environment System Audit Team.
Conduct EHS related analysis, including job hazard analysis, certified PPE assessments, machine risk assessments, machine guarding assessments, and workstation ergonomic assessments.
Champion site industrial hygiene program and ensure on-time completion of the annual sampling plan.
Lead the implementation and management of the emergency preparedness and first responder programs.
Ensure compliance of outside contractors and vendors.
Review and approve new machine design as it relates to EHS compliance.
Review project statement of work documents for EHS considerations.
Ensure proper completion of EHS documentation, recordkeeping, and regulatory reporting including SARA Title III Tier II, TRI, storm water, and OSHA logs.
Champion storm water compliance program.
Work with business unit leaders to ensure compliance in all areas of EHS and support EHS investigations.
Qualified candidates will possess the following Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, or other related fields.
Three to five years of experience leading safety and environmental efforts in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of, and the ability to apply and audit for compliance to applicable regulatory standards including IOSHA, IDEM, NFPA, and ISO 14001:2015
Passionate about encouraging and enforcing safe work practices.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to teach and train effectively.
Proficiency with computer-based systems including Microsoft Office suite.
