Department: Gator Success Institute Salary: $15.00 per hour
Description:

Student Success Ambassadors serve as campus representatives for the Gator Success Institute and 3SL, helping promote educational resources and services to fellow students. The role blends administrative duties and student engagement with flexible hours and professional development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build partnerships with student groups and campus organizations

• Participate in departmental marketing activities (tabling, flyers, fairs, etc.)

• Share branded content through social media

• Represent the institution at campus events and activities

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Active in campus life (student orgs, clubs, or leadership roles)

• Self-starter able to manage multiple priorities

• Passion for helping peers achieve academic and career goals

Benefits:

• $14/hour starting wage with flexible hours (10-20 hours/week)

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled UHD sophomore, junior, senior, or Graduate Student

• Student Support & Coaching

Provide peer coaching and support through regular meetings

Share stress management, time management, and study strategies

Refer students to appropriate university resources and services

• Campus Engagement & Relationship Building

Build and maintain relationships with student, orgs, and staff

Represent university at events, meetings, and presentations

Serve as a visible, approachable point of contact on campus or virtually

• Customer Service & Administrative Support

Greet and assist visitors, students, and callers

Manage office tasks such as mail, supplies, inventory, and reservations

Provide front-desk support and clerical tasks

• Event Planning & Promotion

Support events like workshops, tabling, and community fairs

Promote programs and services in person and social media

Assist in preparing materials and distributing content

• Communication & Outreach

Create and share department content through social media to engage audiences

Present programs or services in classrooms, student orgs, or campus events

• Team Collaboration & Leadership

Collaborate with staff and fellow ambassadors or coaches

Contribute to projects or initiatives that improve student experiences

Demonstrate professionalism, initiative, and a commitment to inclusive practices
