Roadhouse Bartender (Finance)
The Roadhouse Bartender accurately prepares cocktails and alcoholic beverages, innovates and develops new drink ideas, provides excellent service to guests, assists guests in menu selection, delivers guests orders with high accuracy, and cleans and maintains work area.
Compensation:
Compensation averages around $21-$24/hour during daytime hours when wages and tips are included, and $28-$31/hour during evening hours when wages and tips are included
$10.00/hour plus tips (minimum of $12/hour base wage) - daytime shifts
$9.00/hour plus tips (minimum of $12/hour base wage) - evening shifts
Hours & Availability: Part-Time, up to 29 hours per week or Full-Time, up to 40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays. Shifts available mornings & evenings. Must be able to work at least 2 shifts per week and have weekend availability.
Daytime Shifts - 8:30/10:00am-5pm
Evening Shifts 3pm/4pm-12am

Has a passion for creating and teaching new bar creations and offeringsParticipates in weekly specials presentations/tastingsTakes and delivers guests orders using Zingerman's Four Steps to Order AccuracyAssists guests with order selection by providing knowledgeable and accurate information about all menu items, including core and special menu items, coffees and barista drinks, all tap beers, wine glass pours, "classic cocktails," and house liquorsTeaches and coaches front of the house staff on bar knowledgeMakes all alcoholic and specialty drinks according to recipes and in keeping with quality standardsCompetently pairs menu items with wines and beersFollows Roadhouse systems for wine servicePrepares beverages - coffee, soft drinks, waterUtilizes POS System (Toast) to input ordersMaintains clean bar and service stationKeeps updated on specials and menu updates (including 86 lists)Follows our system for collecting/communicating/connecting the dots about our guestsResolves customer complaints and makes it right for the customerCommunicates customer compliments, complaints and suggestions. Follows the training compact and takes responsibility for his or her training. Follows the three steps to great service and the five steps to handling a customer complaintArrives on time for all shifts, meetings, and classesFollows Roadhouse table maintenance systems: marking, pre-bussing, setting, etc.Seeks manager/supervisor assistance with guests when appropriateFollows the staff member guidelinesDocuments customer compliments, complaints and suggestions.Works well with others, has good communication skills and follows Roadhouse Bar systems.
Non-Essential Functions:
Attends and participates in weekly huddles and/or is responsible for knowing Roadhouse key measures and numbers.Documents customer compliments, complaints and suggestions.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to move and position self around the bar, the kitchen, and the basement.Bending, stooping, and being positioned upright for long periods at a timeMust be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs (including up and down stairs)Must be able to balance and relocate a tray with drinks and/or dishesAscends/Descends between the basement and main floor
