Director of International Recruitment (Finance)



Department: Admissions Salary: $65,300.00 - $74,300.00
Description:

Responsible for the operations of a large program or center at the university. Oversees staff, budgets, and projects.

1. Oversees a large department, program or center.
2. Manages budget and engages in strategic planning to ensure all goals are met.
3. Hires and directs the activities of staff.
4. Resolves personnel issues as they arise.
5. Engages in budget-planning, grant oversight, and policy development.
6. Implements new programs and projects and monitors ongoing activities of department or center.
7. Reviews department policies and processes and implements improvements as needed.
8. Represents department or center to internal and external constituents.
9. Performs other job-related duties as required.

MQ: Education: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Experience: Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience. Certification/Licensing: None.

Additional Responsibilities

• Directs, develops, and maintains the policies and procedures for international admissions and recruitment of the University.
• Develops and revises international admissions and foreign credentials policies and processes and ensures that processes are kept current in relation to government regulation changes.
• Works with government offices to ensure compliance and serves as the 'Designated School Official' for approval of I-XXXX documents.
• Advises university leadership regarding federal and university guidelines as they relate to international students or students with foreign documents.
• Prepares recurring statistical reports regarding international admissions, and analyzes enrollment reports to review the progress of the university's international population.
• Determines residency, transfer credit for foreign institutions, admissions appeal, special graduate admit, and foreign transfer appeals with the Director of Academic Programs

The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following:
• Higher Education experience, especially in undergraduate admissions.
• Service leadership skills including mutual respect, active listening, and responsiveness.
• Must be a multi-tasker, extremely organized, and have the ability to work in a face-paced, high-pressure environment, with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to clearly interpret and implement policies and procedures.
• Ability to interact with all levels of internal and external constituents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience working in student information system/s, PeopleSoft preferred.
