Plant Compliance Shift Supervisor

We also provide performance intermediates & chemicals for many industrial applications, such as agro intermediates, food & feed ingredients, cosmetics, non-current good manufacturing practices (non-cGMP) intermediates, and custom development & manufacturing.
Lonza Specialty Ingredients (LSI) is seeking a Plant Compliance Shift Supervisor to join our dynamic team! This is a very important position within LSI as it will insure Quality, GMP and Safety Compliance for our plant in Williamsport, PA and help to identify and resolve production problems.
Key responsibilities:
Quality / GMP Compliance: Enforcement, Coaching and Training. Resolve identified issues.
Ensure that the plant safety, security, and environmental conditions comply with company policies and procedures. Properly handle emergency situations.
Resolves production problems and completes necessary reports to assure adequate communications and deviations from standard operations.
Provide support for customer complaints and First Time Quality – investigation and resolution.
Hold team members accountable for performance and behavior, specifically with regard to safety, quality, production, conduct, paperwork, attendance, and overall performance. Take disciplinary action when appropriate.
Ensure that good housekeeping practices are exercised and enforced throughout the shift and document non-compliance. Take the appropriate action relative to each housekeeping situation.
Act as management representative during the off shifts. Manage and report all unusual situations and emergencies.
Issue any maintenance permits as needed and enter work orders into system.
Help close GMP gaps identified either from internal or external auditing.
Key requirements:
Associates or Bachelor degree preferred or related industry and supervisory experience.
Experience in quality and compliance such as ISO 9000, Lean Six Sigma, GMP, food safety, etc.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, chemical experience is a plus
Working knowledge and focus on plant safety regulations
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication and computer skills.
Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve and hold others accountable for their actions.
Ability to work on a 12 hour - overnight shift.
