Middlestreet Graphics POP Packout- 2nd Shift (Finance)

Position Summary

The Packout team member for Middlestreet Graphics provides assistance to the Packout lead with the assembly, packing, and quality control of projects and organizing the distribution of graphic and display production jobs so that the company can meet its production profitability goals.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Prepares finished goods (e.g. signs, POP displays, banners, shelf talkers, fleet graphics,) for pack out to other locations according to job specific standards.
  • Set up and run a pack out line making necessary adjustments to ensure the highest level of productivity.
  • Work with and lead associates as well as temporary workers to establish a team environment.
  • Organizes products and materials (e.g. equipment and raw materials) to facilitate storage and shipment for according to established company standards (e.g. items being stored safely).
  • Assists in the preparation of POS materials using related equipment (e.g. printers, cutters, laminators) and assembles final materials according to standards.
  • Performs print quality control as well as assembly and kit packing quality control on jobs and recording that data on qc sheets.
  • Prepares and coordinates all job ticket processes prior to shipments. Able to determine the best method of shipment and communicates that with team and shipping.
  • Able to problem solve and make necessary adjustments that ensure all clients expectations are met.
  • Communicates with co-workers, shipping or pack out supervisor and management team verbally and in writing regarding the status of work activities (e.g. production process, receiving and shipping process) and other information, supervisor regarding questions or issues with daily assignment.
  • Able to assist employees needs and issues that may arise. Report any issues or concerns to supervisor.
  • Hold employees accountable for their positions and ensure they stay on task.
  • Adheres to all company policies, standards and procedures (e.g. OSHA and safety requirements, AIB and Pepsi standards, Federal/State/Local Laws); wears all required personal protective equipment.
  • Able to work and navigate within a warehouse management system .
  • Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works overtime as needed to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required.
  • Ensures that outbound material has proper paperwork and meets shipping expectations.

Qualifications - External

Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent degree.

Experience: 1-3 years of previous pack out, minimum of 6 months Point of Sale production experience (e.g. preparation of POP displays, signs) strongly preferred.

Computer Skills: Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Must be able to read and understand Artios CAD Drawings.

Certifications & Licenses: Must be able to be trained to operate a forklift, pallet rider and or pallet jack.

Other Requirements: Knowledge of: Packout environment distribution environment; beverage industry preferred; inventory systems. Skill in: internal customer service. Ability to: count accurately, decipher discrepancies and make corrections, work quickly, independently and efficiently; multi-task; communicate effectively with other employees and develop good working relationships; adapt to change; read and write; perform basic math functions (e.g. addition and subtraction); obtain a forklift license; operate a forklift and graphic design finishing equipment (e.g. printer, laminator,
