What you will do

You will craft achievable production schedules, tracking schedule attainment to enable plant to achieve customer delivery targets and Inventory metrics. Responsible for implementing processes that improve operating efficiencies and reduce cost within plant and supporting supply chains. 

How you will do it

  • Using the output of the Master Production Schedule (MPS), build weekly and daily production schedules which result in production plans that minimize inventory investment, maximize productivity, and increase customer service levels.

  • Determines the impact of daily customer orders and adjusting the daily production schedule to ensure maximum order fulfillment.

  • Provides timely, complete, and concise communication to order management and/or production personnel regarding inquiries and schedule changes or revisions that have immediate or long-range impact.

  • Ensures that timely delivery, inventory accuracy, schedule attainment adherence, and Inventory DOH are met in accordance with plant level performance measures.

  • Collaborate with Materials Manager to maintain capacity requirements plan that supports the master schedule.

  • Coordinates with Supplier Scheduling, Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering to assure that materials are on site in a timely manner to facilitate speedy and accurate parts availability to meet customer demands.

  • Maintains replenishment signals within the ERP system for manufactured items to assure a smooth flow of materials and enable operational efficiency.

  • Manages daily support of production needs such as setting priorities and addressing supply issues.

  • Maintains effective working relationship and communication with all departments.

  • Support changes on Scheduling and Inventory Control processes required for ERP

  • Participate in the clear-to-build meetings adjusting the production schedule when needed.

What we look for
Required

  • A two year degree in an appropriate field of study with one (1) to three (3) years material management experience in a manufacturing environment. 

  • In the absence of a 2-year degree in an appropriate field of study, this position requires an additional three (3) years of related experience. 

  •  Extended knowledge of MRP and ERP experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications

Preferred

  • SAP experience

  • APICS Certification in CPIM, or CSCP
