OPERATIONAL PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT
Develop and manage an operational plan which incorporates goals and objectives that work toward the strategic direction of the organization.
Ensure operations are managed to maintain the organization's IRS 501(c) 3 status.
Ensure operations are in compliance with all applicable and required regulatory rules and guidelines.
PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT
Provide leadership and guidance in the development and administration of programs.
Provide direction to ensure all programs comply with the association's standards and methods of operations continually striving to attain the highest possible level of program quality.
FISCAL MANAGEMENT
Responsible for annual budget development, monthly budget monitoring, forecasting, and achievement of a balanced budget for assigned branch.
Maintain and be thoroughly conversant with systems of financial control including revenues, expenses, and inventories.
Administer the funds of branch according to approved budget and monitor monthly cash flows.
FINANCIAL DEVELOPMENT
Secure sufficient revenue to provide program services consistent with established goals.
Direct the annual sustaining campaign and the capital development program of branch.
Develop and implement an ongoing strategy for building a base of support through endowment support.
Develop and implement an ongoing strategy to identify alternate funding sources.
FACILITIES MANAGEMENT - Manage and supervise use and maintenance of physical properties.
HUMAN RESOURCES PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT
Oversee implementation of human resources policies, procedures and practices
Oversee staffing requirements for organizational management and program delivery.
Provide direction, leadership and supervision to assigned staff.
COMMUNITY RELATIONS
Communicate with stakeholders to keep them informed of the organization's work and advocate the mission, vision, and programs of the YMCA to position YMCA as community leader and partner.
Identify changes in the communities served by the organization.
Establish good working relationships and collaborative arrangement with community groups, funders, politicians, and other organizations to help achieve goals.
VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT
Identify and recruit potential candidates for branch board of managers.
Serve as staff officer to branch board of managers and key volunteer groups.
Develop branch board committees, serving as staff officer to those committees or delegating the responsibility to appropriate staff.
Provide leadership to volunteer development and recognition, giving particular emphasis to volunteer/staff teamwork.
RISK MANAGEMENT - Identify and evaluate the risks to the branch's people (staff, residents, guests, and volunteers), property, finances, and image and assist in the implementation of measures to control risk.
