Senior Federal Grants Manager (Finance)

We are hiring! The Senior Federal Grants Manager is an integral part of our Planning Team. This position is based out of anywhere in the US, primarily working remotely. This position will lead and support training efforts aligned with HMA programs and implementation. The ideal candidate will be able to showcase their technical expertise and project/program delivery skills in Hazard Mitigation across all HMA programs (FMA, HMGP, BRIC) and work closely with the Public Assistance staff in support of Section 406 Mitigation when requested. The position will include, but is not limited to the identification, oversight and management of technical federal grant applications for structural mitigation projects such as elevations, utility mitigation, safe rooms, streambed restoration, wildfire mitigation, flood proofing structures, soil stabilization, storm water management, and other flood control projects. You will position and oversee the development of hazard mitigation proposals to maximize mitigation participation and funding.

How will you contribute to the team?
Assist with project management activities, including but not limited to, project and personnel oversight.
Lead and support development and delivery of mitigation-related trainings and other training as identified.
Assist clients with developing and/or managing grant programs for plans and non-construction activities, identify hazards and impacts, facilitate local plan development and process when necessary, facilitate meetings and briefings, identify public, private and non-profit partnerships.
Develop, review, evaluate and comment on mitigation plans for compliance with FEMA requirements and assist communities with getting plans adopted. Assist the communities with post disaster planning.
Conduct briefings and support the client's Mitigation/Recovery Team through activities as assigned.
Provide guidance on the FEMA Sections 404 and 406 Hazard Mitigation Programs.
What will you contribute?
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Planning, Finance, Disaster Management, Economics or related field. This level may be achieved by Planners with a minimum of seven years' experience since Bachelor's or six years since Master's. Typical incumbent has 10 or more years' experience.
Experience in delivering training related to hazard mitigation grants and recovery programs.
Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to the identification, consideration, and resolution of a wide variety of grants administration issues and problems.
Significant experience addressing strategic issues in disaster recovery operations including issues that have complex political and programmatic elements.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects in a changing work environment.
Ability to work independently and/or on a team.
Strong organizational skills.
Exceptional research skills.
Comfortable interacting with Clients and Client Stakeholders.
Proficient computer skills: (including MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint; Adobe Acrobat Professional)

Salary Range: $85,788 - $142,980
