COORDINATOR - HR TRAINING (Finance)
Provides services to all Scioto Downs departments by organizing all training programs requested by Management. The programs include, but are not limited to: orientation, Human Resources programs, customer service, compulsive gambling, alcohol awareness, train the trainer, and manager/supervisory skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Acts as a service partner to departmental management in identifying current and future training needs.
• Develops documentation for training, including training manuals and other materials.
• Participates in the research and preparation of new training materials, including the determination of instructional methods and contributes to the selection of and/or development of participant materials and visual aids.
• Assists in the routine review and possible modification of existing training programs to meet ever-changing business needs.
• Trains the Training Specialists to conduct training programs. Trains Departmental Trainers to ensure effectiveness of departmental on-the-job training.
• All other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
Effective presentation skills and ability to speak with ease in front of large groups with diverse backgrounds. Creative ability, writing proficiency. Strong organizational ability.
3 years of training, teaching or related experience. Demonstrated experience in a training environment which includes those essential duties of the position.
Must be able to stand/walk/ sit for extended periods. May be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment.
Must be at least 21. Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing. Must be able to pass a background investigation.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent. BS/BA in Business, Human Resources, Communications, Business Administration or teaching preferred; or, equivalent combination of education and experience
