Associate Manager, SAP Business Engineer (Agriculture)



Job Description Summary:

Associate Manager, SAP Business Engineer primary duty is to improve business processes with technology and provide local functional and process support. Candidates must have a solid understanding of Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Logistics business processes, and experience with SAP enabling these functions. In addition, this role will also be responsible for other Supply Chain applications, such as the Serialization system. These are power user types of roles, with some level of functional understanding of the implemented design and configuration, leveraging project and process support documentation and resources. Candidate must be self-directed, be a great team player, and have excellent communication skills in order to be considered for this role. Preference given to those candidates who have experience in life sciences or FDA regulated industries.

The Associate Manager, SAP Business Engineer ensures adherence to relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., 21 CFR Part 11 / EU Annex 11) and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as appropriate.

Job Description:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Act as a Business Analyst, working with the business to understand supply chain, manufacturing, and logistics processes and requests for enabling appropriate solutions.
  • Understand and support master data governance for supply chain and manufacturing business processes.
  • Support and provide guidance on reporting needs.
  • Respond to requests for power user support and be available to address Tier 1 support (process support, master data, user access, user support and other non-technical issues).
  • Maintain current knowledge base of solutions and work with Tier 2 and 3 support sustainment teams to facilitate technical break / fixes. 
  • Provide Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Logistics process support, best practices, and guidance as needed.
  • Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent projects and day-to-day requests.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED

* Minimum level of education and years of relevant work experience.

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field and a minimum of 6 years in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or other regulated environment OR equivalent experience and/or education.

* Special knowledge or skills needed and/or licenses or certificates required.

  • 3+ years of relevant Supply Chain and Manufacturing Experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with SAP S/4 HANA ERP solutions.
  • SAP experience working with / using two or more of the following modules:   PP / SD/LE.
  • Knowledge of SAP Security and user access process.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong communication and training skills, and patience.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow complex instructions.
  • People-oriented -- enjoys interacting with people and working on group projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced, matrixed, team environment consisting of internal and external team members.
  • Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. 
  • Excellent planning, organization and time management skills including the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects. 

* Travel requirements

  • Up to 10% travel
