Schaeffler, a global automotive and industrial supplier, is seeking a Training Specialistin our Fort Mill, SC location to plan, develop, deliver, and coordinate training & development programs/activities throughout the North American Region. This role is responsible for the continuous improvement of all training and development programs to meet the changing needs of the business, employees, and locations.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
Plan, coordinate, and deliver new and existing training courses
Coordinate with external training consultants, local technical colleges, universities, and other outside resources as necessary to develop and deliver existing or new training courses
Partner with business leaders in the development and continuous improvement of employee competency profiles and maintenance of salaried qualifications
Conduct training needs analyses as required to identify skill gaps and recommend training courses or initiatives
Develop blended learning solutions including traditional classroom methods, electronic delivery methods (computer or web-based training, training videos, digital media, etc.) and OJT to meet learning/audience needs
Maintain and drive the Schaeffler Academy Job Floor Management Program
Work closely with local HR managers and other members of the Leadership Team in relation to Onboarding/New Hire training and other Training & Development activities
Consultant with internal stakeholders to ensure adult learning principles are met in core business trainings
Own the Continuous Improvement initiative for the Learning, Development, and Talent Management functions
Participate in Global Schaeffler projects driving the Learning 4.0 initiative
Qualified Candidates will have:
BS/BA degree in training/development or industry related field
3+ years direct experience in training and development in a manufacturing environment a plus
Expert facilitator skilled in engaging audience via presentation & learning activities. CPLP preferred.
Demonstrated history of work with minimal supervision and taking independent initiative
Experience with a variety of concepts and procedures in the areas of adult learning, training modalities, and skills development
Proficient in the use of computer systems, and knowledge of training related technologies to include SAP, Adobe, Articulate, and Creative Suite
Creative problem-solving skills with the vision of thinking outside the box
Ability to manage multiple projects from inception to completion
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Facilitation
Basic knowledge of eLearning, video, and virtual learning
Must be available to travel, both domestic and international, 30% - 50% of the time, primarily in North America. Passport required
