Manufacturing Technician 2 - US1 (Finance)
A Manufacturing Technician 1 takes pride in their hands-on capabilities, sense of urgency, attention to detail, and appreciates an environment where superior work is expected and acknowledged. A Manufacturing Technician 1 must be able to perform a wide array of essential functions across multiple manufacturing work centers including assembly, packaging, and light industrial work. Excellent attendance is required as this individual contributor role performs work daily that the entire team relies upon and is a critical function of the job. Operators are expected to be comfortable working in a team environment, standing for prolonged periods during either the staging, set-up, assembly, and/or kitting processes throughout the shift.
Responsibilities:
Performing a wide variety of assigned manufacturing tasks to produce high quality products
Perform area Line Clearance at the start of each shift or product change over
Perform bench processes to complete chemical formulations using pipettes, scales, mixing tools, and automated QC equipment
Use laboratory tools and skills to measure and quantify materials
Wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while working within cleanroom fabrication spaces
Troubleshoot processing errors and escalate as required to Leadership
Perform various operations using PC based shop floor systems
Making processing decisions based on direction from approved work instruction
Carrying out aspects of the assigned production process which may include:
Operation of various semi-manual to fully automated tooling
Performing final product QC procedures
Analyzing data
Performing labeling and packaging functions
Using automated robotic systems to manage product through a defined workflow
Assembling material using laser-based equipment and performing automated and visual quality checks of finished products
Mixing, storing and disposing of chemical solutions (may include hazardous material)
Notify supervisors or other designated personnel of production problems (product nonconformance, work order discrepancies, equipment malfunction, etc.)
Communicate suggestions for improvements to supervisor in order to enhance product quality, employee productivity, and workplace safety

Requirements:
Familiarity with ISO and Regulatory standards
Familiarity with lasers, formulations, computer-based shop floor management tools
Ability to understand and follow standard operational procedures
Communicate well with supervisor and other employees
Ability to read and follow all released work instructions and safety protocols

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Some college level science courses or training are a plus.
Preferred experiential background:
1-4 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
Basic computer literacy in a Windows environment
Familiarity with standard laboratory practices
Experience with GMP and FDA regulated products a plus
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing Principles and 6S a plus
Knowledge and skills typically acquired through previous positions in a fast-paced corporate environment with similar involved responsibilities is a plus
