Senior Sales Associate - Wealth Management (Finance)
Process includes material preparation for client meetings and new business presentations; creating appropriate new business documentation, account set-up, calculation and reporting of new business fees; coordination of sales activities around seminars, COI cultivation, community and bank sponsored events.
Develop strong understanding and knowledge of investment management, fiduciary and financial planning matters.
Responsibilities Include
•Compile and prepare presentation material for prospect, COI or client meetings.
•Handle logistics of travel and dining arrangements.
•Perform special projects (i.e. coordinating reports, preparing account analysis and workflow reports) that require responding to specific account inquiries and issues.
•Use databases to implement proactive DRIP campaigns with the goal of converting leads into prospects or establishing COI relationships.
•Responsible for prospect/client on-boarding, which includes preparing new account documentation following established compliance guidelines, opening new accounts, calculating account fees, monitoring the funding process and reporting funded business.
•Assist Wealth Strategist with quarterly and annual audits of booked business.
•Partner with Wealth Strategist to maintain active prospecting information and initiate calls for making forward progress.
•Ability to compose letters and e-mails to prospective clients, followed by phone calls to arrange meetings.
•Communicate with partners throughout the bank on all aspects of a prospect/client relationship and initiate activity which fulfills a partners or clients' needs.
•Develop in-depth knowledge of a full range of trust-oriented services (e.g. personal trusts, living trusts, wills, investment management, security custody, financial consulting, estate and tax planning).
•Attend meetings and classes to keep abreast of financial planning products and services.
Knowledge/Skills
•Basic knowledge of personal financial planning, trust and investment products and services are required to perform primary duties.
•Knowledge of Bank applications (Outlook, Trust System, CRM Tool) to generate sales reports, open accounts and book business.
•Organizational and personal computer skills to prepare materials for prospect and COI meetings and presentations.
•Knowledge of fiduciary products and services (e.g. personal trusts, living trusts, wills, investment management, security custody, financial consulting, estate planning), including fee structures, documentation, policies and procedures usually acquired through work-related instruction or work experience is required to respond to account related matters and various sales situations.
•Strong math, analytical and organizational skills to proactively manage the sales process.
•Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, prospects and internal partners
Experience Required
•Undergraduate Degree or equivalent experience
•Strong computer skills PowerPoint, Word, Excel
•1-3 years of relationship management experience
