Come join our team! JOB TITLE: District Manager SUMMARY: Position is responsible for the day to day management of an assigned sales and merchandising team. Maintain and improve retailer satisfaction and relationships while achieving targeted sales and execution goals. JOB DUTIES: · Responsible for strict adherence of all state and federal laws. · Responsible for cascading profitable brand growth targets and incentives that align with our company's direction. · Manage team's regular call frequency on assigned retail accounts primarily to maintain adequate product inventory, increase distribution, monitor retail pricing and shelf space management · Responsible for the management and oversight of programs to increase retail account sales volume, market share and distribution while maintaining product quality standards, improving in store merchandising and marketing awareness for our brands within the assigned territory. · Responsible for ensuring company policies, local, state and federal laws are followed by self and all assigned team members. · Provide sales teams with focus and support with structured processes in order to maintain an efficient, but high level of customer service in the marketplace. · Responsible for maintaining product freshness standards in assigned retail territory by monitoring and rotating stock and managing retail inventory levels · Verify compliance with distribution agreements ensuring that all brewer and supplier standards are continually met. · Train, develop and coach sales reps and merchandisers · Responsible for developing call frequencies on assigned accounts to ensure adequate sales and service of the retail customer · Build business relationships with retail decision makers and license owners · Professionally communicate, negotiate and present sales related materials and ideas · Responsible for ensuring product freshness standards are being followed · Monitor retail account license status insuring we are only selling to active licensed customers · Inspect retail advertising execution · Increase shelf space and position for all products within our portfolio · Manage distribution for new brands and packages where appropriate or targeted · Resolve credit issues and facilitate the collection of past due balances · Oversee the execution of retail programs and set target objectives for assigned territory · Provide coverage for vacant sales, merchandising routes and assist with delivery when needed · Monitor time and labor hours of all team members · Positively communicate and work with other team members to build a cohesive team · Attend sales department and company meetings · Conduct scheduled sales meetings specific to assigned territory and team · Participate in evening and weekend promotions as necessary · Execute company and brewer partner assigned surveys · Perform other duties as assigned · Annually evaluate sales and merchandising teams. · Build and present positive, informative and professional weekly sales meetings. · Conduct scheduled sales team meetings to add focus and review pertinent information. · Assist in the resolution of credit issues and the collection of past due balances. · Effectively communicate and work with other team members. · Perform other duties as assigned by the Sales Manager. REQUIREMENTS: · Direct experience in wholesale beer distribution and/or brewer/supplier operations · Good communication skills and ability to partner and collaborate effectively with others · Time management skills · Knowledge of iPad/Computer applications and proficient with current selling software
QUALIFICATIONS: · High School Diploma or GED · Must be at least 21 years of age · 2 years of prior sales experience · Proficient in Microsoft office applications, (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); iPad · Must be able to work a flexible schedule including some nights, weekends and holidays · Ability to work and drive positive results in a fast-paced, team environment PREFERRED QUALIFICTIONS: · Bachelor's Degree. · Five (5) years of prior sales experience in the beverage industry or other consumer product industries · A team player with a readiness to communicate often and effectively. · Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple projects; strong organizational skills · Proven track record of leadership, team building and sound decision making PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: · Ability to move products weighing up to 165 lbs. · Capable of remaining in a stationary position more than 50% of the time while operating a computer and other office machinery such as a calculator, printer and/or copy machine. · Repetitive lifting, up to 50 lbs. overhead. · Bending, pulling/pushing up to 340 pounds on a two-wheeler. · Ability to continuously stand or walk. · Ability to bend and occasionally squat. · Occasional carrying and reaching.
