General Laborer (Finance)

Essential Functions Under direct supervision, the General Laborer is responsible for installing, removing and washing of composite mats, installing/removing environmental containment for construction, and any other service required for the gas and oil, T&D and pipeline industries. They may require the use of hand and power tools to ensure proper installation of containment and mats on customer sites. Maintain all tools utilized in the proper manner, informing management of any issues. Must adhere to all related OSHA, EPA, DEQ, and DOT safety rules and regulations in concurrence with NMIS' Policies and Procedures. Position requires outside work - working in all weather conditions. General Laborers are also responsible for the safe use of equipment on site including the cleanliness of worksite and fleet vehicles. May perform special projects as assigned.
Essential Functions General Laborer I:
• General work experience (1 year)
• Basic hand tool knowledge
• Ability to follow direction
• Basic safety knowledge
Essential Functions General Laborer II:
• Hand and power tool knowledge (Demtech, Extrusion Guns)
• General product/service knowledge (Liner, Textile, Berm, Mats)
• Proficient understanding of operating and safety procedures
• Work with minimal supervision
• Ability to operate equipment (Skidsteer)
• Ability to complete a JSA
• Proficient in job related paperwork and Technology (Field Tickets)
• Proficient safety knowledge
• Basic communication skills with customer
Essential Functions General Laborer III:
• Proficient communication skills
• Expert in safety knowledge
• Master knowledge of power and hand tools (Demtech, Liesters, Hand Seamers, Extrusion Guns)
• Proficient with JSA's
• Proficient with paperwork and Technology (Field Tickets)
• Expert at operating and safety procedures
• Master knowledge of products/services
• Ability to lead a team and direct others
• Proficient organizational skills
• Operate equipment (skidsteer, loader, telehandlers)
• Load/Unload/Install Product
Non-Essential Functions:
1. Safeland training preferred
2. Experience working in the field
3. Ability to work multiple shifts (day, night, weekends)
4. Must be able to work OT and some holidays
5. Ability to be on call
Education & Experience Requirements High School Diploma or educational equivalent. Entry level. Basic knowledge of mechanical operating procedures and processes. Good analytical skills. Position Summary Under direct supervision in operations, loads and unloads materials, parts, or products manually or by mechanized means. Transfers finished products and raw materials about plant and warehouse, using hand truck. Delivers production items to designated work areas for processing. Delivers processed units to storage or for the next stage of processing. Stacks processed items in warehouse. Packs products in containers. Cleans around work areas.
