Flex Teacher (Creative Design)

Choate Rosemary Hall seeks a Flex Teacher with a start date of August 2025. Candidates must be able to teach at least two of the following disciplines: Arabic, economics, history, mathematics, science (biology, chemistry, and/or physics, with physics strongly preferred), or psychology. In addition to teaching two or more courses per term, the Flex Teacher provides both short-term and long-term substitute coverage for other courses as school needs require. Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ways in which inclusive and equitable practices inform their approach to instruction and course design. Ideal candidates are expected to have two or more years of teaching experience.

Our faculty is deeply committed to the entire student experience; it is expected that faculty responsibilities will include a combination of student advising, residential life, and co-curricular activities. Outside the classroom, the Flex Teacher works with a group of advisees, serves as a resident or non-resident house mentor (if living on campus), and contributes substantively to the co-curricular life of the school every term.
