Sr Manager IT - Technology Procurement (Finance)

As a Senior Manager IT Technology Procurement & Software Asset Mgmt for the Advanced Materials business unit, you will hold a key IT role enabling Technology Roadmap & Software Procurement in partnership with Procurement function. You will play a pivotal part in driving IT efficiency and cost-effectiveness while ensuring strategic alignment of the technology landscape and roadmap with the procurement function. The role will include establishing the IT procurement processes and policies with the appropriate governance and auditability, running IT procurement operations and MOS and managing suppliers of IT.

In this role, you will drive the successful execution and delivery of IT procurement projects by leveraging your expertise in project management, cost savings, and process improvements across our IT procurement operations. Through your leadership, you will ensure that IT procurement projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.

You will report to our Data & Architecture Leader who is responsible for IT services used across all functions including program management, business partnership, Data & Analytics, GenAI, and Architecture. You will work out of our Morris Plains, Charlotte or Houston locations on a hybrid work schedule.

In October, 2024 Honeywell announced the spin-off of our Advanced Materials business to become a stand-alone publicly traded company, independent of Honeywell. Our intention is that this role, dedicated to the Advanced Materials business, will be a part of this future transaction when the separation occurs.As a Senior Manager IT Technology Procurement & Software Asset Mgmt for the Advanced Materials business unit, you will hold a key IT role enabling Technology Roadmap & Software Procurement in partnership with Procurement function.   • 6+ years of experience in IT procurement and project management
  • 6+ years of experience in leadership and team management.
  • Knowledge of IT procurement strategies, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management.
  • Proficiency in budget management and financial acumen.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Acts as a strategic liaison between the IT department and the procurement function, ensuring alignment of IT needs with procurement strategies and processes
  • Oversee IT procurement projects from initiation to timely completion, including partnering with the Procurement team in supplier selection, negotiations, contract management, and delivery, ensuring projects are executed within scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Finance, and Service Owners to ensure software investments align with business and technology roadmaps.
  • Support building out procurement & ISC analytics capabilities, including defining key performance indicators (KPIs), data models, systems and establishing best practices, enhancement projects and realizing data driven decision making vision.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the organization's IT procurement strategy, ensuring alignment with cost-effectiveness, quality, and supplier diversity goals.
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of IT hardware and software assets, from requirements, purchase and deployment to maintenance and disposal.
  • Assist in implementing strategic sourcing practices, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and maintaining relationships with suppliers to drive value and innovation.
  • Assess and mitigate IT procurement risks, including supply chain disruptions, compliance issues, and quality control, to ensure continuity and quality of supply.
  • Participate with the Procurement in vendor evaluation and performance measurement programs to track and improve supplier performance, quality, and delivery.
  • Support the management of the IT procurement budget, allocate resources efficiently, and seek cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and other stakeholders to maintain relationships that foster collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that IT procurement activities adhere to relevant regulations and compliance standards, including ethical and sustainability practices.
  • Contribute to the establishment and enforcement of quality control standards in IT procurement processes, conducting regular inspections and performance assessments.

This position is intended to convey to the new, independent company, to be named Solstice Advanced Materials when the separation occurs. This is expected to occur in late 2025 or early 2026.About Us
