Test Engineer (Finance)
Join a team of energetic, fun and motivated professionals. As a Test Engineer, you will have broad leeway to analyze problems, propose solutions, and bring new ideas to life. You will work closely with product owners, architects and engineers in all activities pertaining to the analysis, design, and development of oseries edge product. You will work closely with other testers, developers, and subject matter experts to prepare and automate test plans and track automation result data.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Development of the manual test scripts
• Set up and execution of the manual or automated test scripts
• Logging & recording of the test outcomes/results
• Daily reporting of the progress/status of the test execution
• Analysis and recovery from the execution errors
• Assist with the maintenance of the test scripts library
• Reporting of the bugs
• Providing redlines of test cases to Test Analysts
• Analyze requirements / user stories and define test coverage and scope for manual and automation
testing
• Create test automation scripts as well as design, develop and execute test suite/s for one or more
products
• Strategize, plan and estimate the assigned work as well as provide periodic status reports on project
milestones
• Troubleshooting technical issues to identify root cause and corrective improvements
• Support the team in all testing efforts.
• Occasional travel required
• Participate in other projects or duties.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Working knowledge with a one or more databases like postgres, oracle • Working knowledge on test automation tools such as cypress; selenium is a plus • Working knowledge on containerization and Docker • Working knowledge with Jira and Safe Agile process • Familiar with SOAP and REST API calls
• Must possess problem solving and dealing with ambiguity skills
• Ability to work with developers, product owners to convert requirement into test cases and test
plans.
• Experience with test driven development is a plus
• Ability to drive higher quality by assessing end-user impact of issues and thereby being a quality
advocate
• Ability to listen and understand information and communicate the same.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
• One (1) or more years of experience in application software environments or related experience
• One (1) or more years of experience in software testing in multiple environments including test
scripting and execution
• Experience with test automation tools like Selenium and cypress.
• Experience working with configuration management tools and repository like GitHub
• Experience with various software development methodologies as well as with tools like JIRA or HP-
ALM
• Experience with testing in virtual and cloud environments
• Experience with one or more load and performance testing tools like JMeter d etc.
• Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
