Specialist, Crisis Intervention - Pediatrics (Finance)
Working in coordination with physicians, nurses and clinical care team members, the Crisis Intervention Specialist is responsible for overseeing the services dealing with barriers Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHC) and their families are facing during the pandemic.
Position Key Accountabilities:
1. Collects and reviews clinic forms which help identify family needs at check-in during each appointment. Considers social determinants of health and psycho social components of patient care to address barriers to care that may be affecting their medical condition.
2. Completes Bio-psycho-social assessment to assist with resources for identified needs.
3. Providing critical resources (legal, basic needs, health care) and support to individuals in crisis.
4. Responds to emergency and crisis situations and implements crisis management skills as directed by licensed staff.
5. Communicates, both orally and in written form, with other members of a team to improve program efficiency or overall crisis intervention process.
6. Maintains program/grant financial records. Assists with distributing funds provided by grant for COVID emergency assistance.
7. Responds to time-sensitive calls and emails.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.
Certification/Skills:
None
Minimum Education:
Bachelor Degree in Social Work or related field.
Minimum Experience:
One year of social work experience required. Medical social work experience is preferred. May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
