Service Technician (Finance)
Service Technicians serve our external customers by providing timely, efficient and safe repair and maintenance of all company equipment (e.g. fountain units, coolers, vending machines) according to established company standards (e.g. Pepsi and manufacturer specifications) so that the company can meet its volume and profitability goals.
Job Duties:
•Troubleshoots, inspects, services and repairs all equipment (e.g. fountain units, coolers, vending m achines) at customer locations according to established standards (e.g. manufacturer specifications, Pepsi standards)
•Performs preventative maintenance on all national account equipment at customer locations according to established standards (e.g. Pepsi standards; manufacturer specifications).
•Adheres to all company policies, standards and procedures (e.g. OSHA and safety requirements, AIBI and Pepsi standards, Federal/State/Local laws); wears all required personal protective equipment.
•Communicates with customer and Pepsi management on issues regarding equipment, products, opportunities and problems that arise at the customer location, educates customers on basic equipment troubleshooting and cleaning.
•Maintains parts inventory in company service vehicle; orders parts as needed; maintains a clean, neat and organized vehicle.
•Maintains confidentiality of pricing, repair costs, customer information and other sensitive and confidential information.
•Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works overtime as required to meet workload demands; performs other related duties as required.
•High School degree, GED or equivalent; trade school diploma in electrical, HVAC, mechanics or related field strongly preferred.
•Valid driver's license; employee must be insurable to operate a vehicle, as a condition of initial and continued employment.
•6-12 months of previous customer relations experience.
•1-3 years of previous mechanical and/or equipment troubleshooting experience
•Knowledge of: beverage industry; product line; retail sales environment; various equipment ( e.g. vending machines, coolers, fountain units); basic mechanics and troubleshooting, including electric and refrigeration.
•Skill In: internal and external customer service in a variety of settings; basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
•Ability to: work quickly, efficiently and independently without direct supervision; adapt to change; display a professional positive attitude; read (e.g. diagrams, maps, schematics) and write; perform basic math functions (e.g. addition, subtraction); communicate effectively with customers and other employees and develop good working relationships; be trained on operating hand tools, refrigeration and other mechanical equipment; drive a vehicle; multi-task; problem solve.
• Must be able to lift up to 65 pounds manually and push up to 250 pounds using a hand cart.
