Position Summary:

Directly responsible for leading the Fife, WA manufacturing facility. This responsibility includes safety, materials management, production, scheduling, shipping, maintenance, manufacturing engineering and quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibility for the site P&L and KPI's. Develops, implements, and executes strategic plan driving projects and activities supporting the site operational and financial goals.

Utilize systems and data to develop production plans which includes materials and labor modeling.

Responsible for execution of freight optimization strategy to ensure customer fulfillment while optimizing cost.

Develop and implement an effective equipment reliability strategy for the site. Utilize CMMS to drive predictive and preventative maintenance.

Responsible for coaching and developing organizational talent. This includes establishing SMART goals, providing consistent feedback, and creating succession and individual development plans.

Develop and execute strategic plans for capital investment. Seek and understand opportunities to improve product quality and productivity through automation and technology.

Develop and execute operating cadence tied to cascading metrics and individual team member accountability. Ensure site executes to priorities and deliverables.

Plans and directs production, scheduling, warehousing and shipping activities, establishes priorities for products while maintaining a cost-effective operation and on-time delivery.

Acts as a change agent, identifies, and promotes continuous improvement opportunities utilizing data analysis, Lean methodologies & 6-Sigma concepts (A3's, Gemba) empowers employees, drives engagement, ownership of processes and tasks & collaboration among team members.

Lead and facilitate customer-centric partnership with commercial and marketing teams. This includes growth strategy execution, new customer on-boarding, product-line resets and regional expansion.

Foster and lead a zero-injury culture. Plan, implement and manage programs to reduce or eliminate occupational injuries and maintain compliance with governing bodies in safety and environmental regulations.

Establish and develop strong, positive working relationships with the union by following the terms of collective bargaining agreement and actively participating in negotiations ensuring right balance between customer, employee, and shareholder interests.

Education and/or Experience:

Degree: Bachelor's Degree

Major: Engineering or Business, MBA Preferred

5 Years Experience in Manufacturing and/or Distribution.

Proficient at execution of LSS methodologies.

Strong systems, data and analytical abilities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

In addition to the accountabilities listed above, individuals may perform other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods or otherwise to balance the workload.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge and experience with regulatory agencies like, OSHA, EPA, DOT, ANSI and local agencies.

Licenses / Certifications: Certified in CPR & First Aid

Physical Requirements:Approximate time spent to be included in physical demands such as walking, or bending, specific lifting requirements (lbs.) and/or other requirements such as vision or hearing.

Work Conditions

Environment: Light Manufacturing Travel:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts and inside/outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The manufacturing environment is not environmentally controlled resulting in exposure to winter cold and summer heat in the work area.
