IT Project Manager (Finance)



We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex software and ERP initiatives in a fast-paced, front-office environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, risk management, and communication skills, operating comfortably within enterprise IT frameworks while aligning business and technical stakeholders toward shared goals.

Essential Functions

  • Project Planning:
    • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans
    • Coordinate activities between IT and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
    • Proactively identify risks and define mitigation strategies in collaboration with stakeholders
    • Ensure solutions are practical, scalable, and achievable within operational and tactical constraints
  • Project Management and Execution:
    • Lead projects using Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum
    • Analyze application databases, evaluate internal and 3 rd party API specifications and perform project status assessments
    • Direct exploratory data analysis to validate requirements and prioritize features
    • Manage all project documentation and prepare regular status updates and executive reports
    • Oversee submission and tracking of resource requests, approvals, and service provisioning
    • Validate feature efficacy and the products value proposition by analyzing planned ROI, tracking product adoption metrics, and measuring performance against promised outcomes using quantitative data and user behavior insights
    • Ensure accurate time tracking and task updates via Jira
    • Monitor and report on project budgets and schedules
    • Own and communicate the products vision across technical teams, business users, vendors, and executive leadership
  • Project Closure:
    • Ensure timely resolution of outstanding post-launch issues
    • Deliver complete "as-built" documentation and ensure smooth transition to IT operations and support
  • Ongoing Responsibilities:
    • Plan and manage multiple concurrent IT projects
    • Oversee daily activities of internal developers and external vendors
    • Maintain continuous stakeholder involvement and alignment
    • Perform additional duties as required to support successful delivery

Minimum Qualifications
  • Proven track record of delivering successful, business-valued IT applications
  • Experience managing at least two ERP implementations covering design-to-build or built to order within construction or distribution industries
  • Proven track record in providing or directing teams to produce exploratory data analytics and data quality analysis

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong ability to assess and manage risks when introducing custom or COTS software into environments unfamiliar with new technologies
  • Ability to anticipate and plan for technical, operational, and organizational challenges
  • Skilled at engaging stakeholders and SME's through structured interviews and ongoing collaboration, effectively managing competing priorities to maintain strong stakeholder relationships
  • Capable of minimizing communication overhead for technical teams and subject matter experts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on building trust with executive leadership
  • Deep understanding of enterprise SDLC processes and compliance with IT governance, policies, and procedures
  • Proficiency with project management and Agile tools, especially Jira, Confluence and Azure DevOps
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and see. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hand to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Frequent lifting required of items 5-25 pounds, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Work Environment

​​ This job operates in both a professional office and warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. May occasionally require driving to project sites. Conditions will include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware. Subject to frequent heavy lifting. May be exposed to variable weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures. ​
