Our Shared Services teams support all of our business lines behind the scenes ensuring the delivery of our business priorities. These include Technology, Information Security, Finance, Risk, Audit, Governance, Marketing and Communications as well as our People team. The Marketing Services team is a centralized, shared resource across regions and Business Units. The team works closely together each business unit Portfolio Marketing team, to create great campaigns and drive revenue growth. We provide customer and market intelligence, brand strategy, campaign development and execution and strategic client pursuit (proposals) as a 'centre of excellence'. All marketing projects are managed by the Marketing Services team to bring together marketing expertise, best practice, consistency to everything delivered to clients, and leverage global content while ensuring local relevance and market specific requirements. Marketing Services and Portfolio Marketing work together:
Intelligence and Brand teams will provide insights that inform the Marketing strategies and plans.
Portfolio Teams will own and develop these strategies in line with business objectives.
MarCom (Marketing Communications) and Strategic Pursuit teams will be briefed by the Portfolio teams and will develop and execute marketing plans and strategic proposals.
Regional marketing teams will support with the translation and localization of our marketing activity.
A role you will love The (Global) Event Manager implements B2B events at a segment and business level to help the organization realize its business objectives. This includes planning, development, and execution of virtual and physical events, that are targeted to clients as well as prospects, in all regions. The type of events includes webinars, virtual and face-to-face client events, roundtables, industry events and workshops. The position requires a hands-on, collaborative, and flexible approach with the ability to oversee and execute multiple projects simultaneously while driving aggressive deadlines. The role is best suited for a high-achiever with proven ability to contribute individually (through hands-on execution) as well as part of a results-focused department. The (Global) Event Manager oversees all aspects of event planning and execution for Computershare-hosted and industry tradeshows and events, both in-person and virtually. Primary responsibilities for this position include meetings with internal partners to work out event or webinar details, research and book locations, food, entertainment and to coordinate activities with tradeshow vendors. Primary Accountabilities
Support Portfolio managers and Regional Managers by producing events strategies to drive business and marketing objectives - activity to include trade conferences and exhibitions, client conferences, briefings/networking events, webinars, and hospitality.
Advise Portfolio teams and Business Units on best practice and make recommendations to improve event outcomes based on the recorded performance vs marketing and business KPIs.
Work within our digital event management system, registration platform and event communications - continuously improving all aspects of the end-to-end customer journey and driving internal efficiencies.
Work within our virtual meeting and webinar platform.
Create feedback mechanisms, including surveys, to gather actionable feedback from events delegates.
Create event reports illustrating how each event has performed against pre-defined objectives, capturing learning points and recommendations for future events.
Source and review suppliers of all branded merchandise and events-related equipment.
Ensure that thorough risk assessments are carried out for all events that we organize or attend.
What will you bring to the role? The ideal candidate will be an adaptable, dynamic and results driven individual contributor, capable of working independently managing multiple projects, running internal meetings, trade shows, corporate events, large conferences . A highly organized multitasker who works well under pressure with a systematic, detail driven approach to planning. A strategic thinker, with the ability to overcome obstacles and see plans through. This individual should also possess:
A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college
5 - 7 years' experience in creating and executing a wide variety of marketing events with the ability to work with external agencies and internal stakeholders , within a dynamic matrix organization, ideally in both a consumer marketing environment and a B2B marketing environment.
Comfort with virtual event platforms (such as Cvent) and the ability to learn new technology
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to forge strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders across various business functions and event suppliers in multiple countries and the ability to adapt approach and style to different Markets as appropriate being sensitive to language and cultural differences .
