Associate Brand and Content Management (Project Management)

Job Summary

The Marketing Associate supports the development and deployment of programs and communications designed to drive brand consideration, improve consumer experiences and support customer growth, ensuring they feel supported, assured and worry-free.
Develop messaging that supports consistent brand positioning and differentiation across channels, including understanding messaging needs that are unique to specific customer groups and channels and how the channels work together to support the overall content strategy.
Participate in the continual refinement of key selling messages based on learnings and updates from consumer insights, research, competitive intelligence, customer service, etc.
Champion consumer personas and new energy consumers by ensuring offers, campaigns, communications and experiences are personalized for their needs.
Create, develop, and manage content for websites, advertising and marketing campaigns, social media and other digital channels.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

•Maintain a keen understanding of competitive positioning and develop brand strategy recommendations to increase brand equity and differentiation.

•Develop and recommend messaging to help connect with customers across the customer lifecycle, with a focus on the awareness and consideration stages.

•Define new areas of messaging needs and identify opportunities for improvement in content management.

•Manage the continual development and refinement of key selling messages and messaging strategy based on trends from other industries and new learnings from research, customer service, competitive intelligence, etc.

•Work with the Product Development team to develop and shape product offerings that increase customer acquisition and retention and fit within the brand strategy, including naming and messaging strategies.

•Oversee brand reputation initiatives, seeking ways to improve and promote ratings and reviews, award opportunities, testimonials and social proof.

•Work with the acquisition and digital marketing teams on campaigns, websites and related activities that drive demand for products and offers across brands.

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

•6+ years related experience in a brand, content marketing or ad agency/creative role

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including copywriting and editing experience

•Experience developing core messaging and communications strategy

•Experience with content management systems is a plus

•Experience with creative/ad agencies is a plus

•Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team

•Vendor negotiation and management experience

•Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to the above skills.
