Health & Wellness Compliance Specialist (Finance)



Support the company's business ethics and regulatory compliance functions and assist the subject matter experts in a single regulatory area within their field. Regulatory fields include, but are not limited to privacy, health care, environmental, transportation, and product compliance. Partner with the business to provide guidance and training to associates and monitors and oversees program execution.   • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or 2+ years of experience
  • Familiarity with regulatory environment and laws or knowledge of the technical characteristics of the area of responsibility that will facilitate their training on the compliance aspects of the position
  • Strong follow-up, accountability, and attention to detail
DESIRED
  • Any experience with policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Understand to a basic level of federal, state, and other applicable laws and regulations as it relates to their area of responsibility Have the ability to locate regulations related to their regulatory area
  • Interpret laws and regulations to determine their potential impact on business programs with guidance from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
  • With significant oversight from SMEs, assist in managing a compliance program, draft policies and related documentation, and communicate them as appropriate
  • Review audit results related to area of responsibility to identify significant issues of noncompliance and assist in returning site to compliance
  • Serve as a point of contact for regulatory compliance questions in their area of responsibility and with guidance from SMEs, respond to information requests from associates and agencies
  • Create training documents and provide training related to their area of responsibility with significant oversight from and approval the SME
  • Collect, complete, and submit correspondence, permit applications and compliance reports for the company related to their area of responsibility after review by SMEs
  • Maintain records to meet regulatory compliance requirements; manage all oral and written information confidentially
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend improvements to manager; complete special projects as assigned by manager
  • Attend industry training programs to develop expertise in current or future subject matter areas approved by manager
  • Travel independently (20-33%)

  • Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues
