Job Description:

We are seeking a driven and innovative Senior Director, WW Pre-Sales Leader, Storage and Unstructured Data to join our team and play a pivotal role in advancing HPE's vision and strategy for unstructured data solutions across our Storage and Zerto product lines. In this key role, you will leverage a forward-thinking approach and strong collaborative skills to elevate pre-sales conversations from traditional infrastructure discussions to strategic, high-value data solutions, focusing on data protection, analytics, data lakes, and value extraction using HPE's x10K platform. By fostering innovation and aligning teams, including business units, category leaders, field teams, and product development, you will ensure organizational alignment and collaboration. Your efforts will help position HPE at the forefront of industry transformation by engaging customers in meaningful discussions about how unstructured data can drive business outcomes and enable transformative AI capabilities, while maintaining a commitment to excellence in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities:

Vision & Strategy Execution

  • Partner closely with the WW Storage Leader to execute the vision and strategy for unstructured storage solutions across Storage and Zerto product lines.
  • Contribute to the ramp-up and success of unstructured storage initiatives with focus on growth targets.
  • Help drive alignment across global teams to ensure consistency in messaging, enablement, and execution.

Presales Engagement & Customer Conversations

  • Lead presales discussions that transition from traditional storage product conversations to strategic data conversations.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer challenges and deliver presales solutions focused on data protection, analytics, and value-driven outcomes.
  • Educate customers on the capabilities of HPE's x10K platform and its role in enabling AI, data lakes, and knowledge extraction at scale.

Enablement & Collaboration

  • Drive consistent enablement and engagement across pre-sales teams to equip them with the knowledge and tools needed for success across Storage and Zerto product offerings.
  • Act as a key liaison between business units, category leaders, and field/product development teams to ensure alignment and integrated solutions delivery.
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to influence roadmap development based on customer feedback and market demand.
  • Develop and refine pre-sales processes to support the growing emphasis on unstructured storage solutions, ensuring scalability across product lines.
  • Identify and address gaps in pre-sales enablement to support rapid adoption and scaling of HPE's unstructured data offerings worldwide.

Knowledge & Thought Leadership:

  • Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies related to unstructured data, AI, analytics, and disaster recovery.
  • Serve as a thought leader in unstructured data solutions and educate internal teams and customers on market opportunities.

Experience Required:

  • 15+ years of experience in progressive pre-sales leadership, with at least 5 years of experience leading large worldwide pre-sales organizations.
  • Must have experience at a major storage vendor.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Demonstrated success scaling a large pre-sales organization and driving transformation programs across people development and business growth.
  • Proven track record in leading strategic, value-driven pre-sales conversations with customers, focusing on data solutions and business outcomes rather than product features alone.
  • Experience working at the intersection of storage infrastructure, unstructured data, and disaster recovery solutions such as Zerto.
  • Strong technical acumen with deep expertise in deep expertise across unstructured data products and solutions, including file and object storage, AI workloads, data protection, analytics, and data lakes.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills to engage cross-functional teams and customers effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with HPE's x10K platform and its capabilities in AI, data protection, and analytics.
  • Experience in building presales enablement frameworks and scaling new initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Zerto solutions for disaster recovery and data protection.

The expected salary/wage range for a U.S. -based hire filling this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. USD Annual Salary: $295,000.00 - $631,000.00
