Position Summary
This new Research Administrator III (Analyst) position will be based in the Interdisciplinary Research Support Office (IRSO), a subgroup of the Office of Research whose mission is to provide administrative support for multi-departmental and/or multi-institutional projects at Rice University.
The ideal applicant will have a strong background in both Research Administration and in the use of spreadsheet and database software for the collection and analysis of data. They will have exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills that are complemented by a positive, inquisitive, and problem-solver mindset.
The post holder will have experience working with data exported from Oracle (or an equivalent business management ERP). They will bring technical and analytical expertise to the role to methodically apply checks to business data in order to raise overall quality and accuracy in the interpretation and use of data in the IRSO team. They will develop customer-focused reports and tools that enable improved decision making, efficient process workflows, and to assist in the development of corresponding user training.
