Federal Work-Study| Student Assistant – Dean of Students Office (Finance)

The Student Assistant will support the Dean of Students Office by providing high-level customer service, administrative support, and assistance with programming and outreach initiatives. This position offers a professional work environment and opportunity in a student-centered environment. Student Assistants will gain hands-on experience in university operations, student support services, and policy implementation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Greets and assists students, faculty, staff, and visitors at the front desk
Answers phone calls, takes messages, and routes inquiries appropriately
Provides accurate information about Dean of Students services and resources
Maintains confidentiality while handling sensitive student matters and records
Assists with intake and tracking of incident reports, complaints, and referrals
Supports student programming and events sponsored by the Dean of Students' office (e.g., set-up, check-in, distribution of materials)
Helps develop marketing materials, flyers, and social media content
Organizes and files documents, performs data entry, and assists with basic reporting
Monitors and restocks office supplies and maintains common areas
Other duties as assigned in support of the office mission and operations
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Available to work between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, up to 20 hours a week (flexible scheduling)
Qualifications:
Must be a Current UHD Student
Must have a work-study award from the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid
