A role you will love #-LI-REMOTE Our finance function is responsible for providing treasury management services in respect of both client and own funds, financial planning & analysis, financial accounting and reporting, commercial finance and tax support to all business units and functions throughout the Computershare Group. The Head of Client Treasury role operates within this function at a global level providing critical insight to help shape the global Finance strategy and work with the functional leadership to define, drive and implement the overall Client Treasury strategy. The role must ensure the team delivers outcomes within strict internal, regulatory and client requirements. Reporting to our global CFO The Head of Client Treasury is also responsible for managing Computershare's clients ("Client") funds and ensuring payments are processed correctly and timely. Whilst holding client funds, this role is ultimately responsible for managing liquidity and maximizing interest on investment (within policy guidelines and contracting terms). The role will require strong alignment on managing treasury across Computershare and therefore work collaboratively with the Head of Corporate Treasury and Head of Corporate Trust Treasury. This role will also work collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders and global teams, supporting and delivering improvement initiatives and a variety of treasury related activities. Key responsibilities:
Holds the responsibility for all Client Treasury activities at Computershare.
Work collaboratively with the Head of Corporate Treasury to ensure alignment and consistent application, implementation, and improvement of approved policies/strategies/initiatives across Treasury teams.
Responsible for implementation of the target operating model for Client Treasury, ensuring it's sustainable, futureproof and meets all the necessary regulatory and control frameworks.
Responsible for the development and delivery of the Client Treasury strategy, ensuring it secures best practice outcomes on behalf of Computershare, collaborating with the Head of Corporate Treasury to ensure alignment with the wider Finance strategy.
Responsible for the development of Client Treasury policies and procedures working collaboratively with the Head of Corporate Treasury to ensure that these align with the Corporate Treasury policies.
Accountable for shaping and implementing processes and operations of the Client Treasury team, to improve the efficiency of the function and drive optimal financial performance. Provides insight and analysis to inform Group Finance reporting.
Leads, develops, influences, and motivates a team of Treasury professionals who work collaboratively with other Finance functions and Computershare's business areas, shaping and delivering the requisite Treasury strategies, to drive optimum financial performance in pursuit of Computershare's goals.
As a member of the Finance executive team, responsible for the Treasury delivery of the overall Finance strategy, working in collaboration with all other Finance teams to ensure that output is fit for purpose for both the finance function and the wider business.
What will you bring to the role?
Extensive expert experience in Treasury and the associated regulatory landscape
Extensive experience developing and implementing Treasury strategies ideally within a global organisation, with direct experience of the Treasury framework in multiple jurisdictions
Expert in leading teams of up to 50 employees
Experience in managing assets upwards of $20 billion plus preferred
Must have previously operated at an executive level;
Experience in automation and centralisation of a Treasury function
Highly experienced in financial reporting.
Expert understanding of emerging Treasury trends providing thought leadership to senior stakeholders, in areas of expertise.
Proven ability to create and implement a best practice operating model
Expert in leading, developing and motivating a functional team which is geographically dispersed
Expert in analysing data and formulating recommendations as well as working in the abstract and on conceptual issues
Expert in delivery through others to deadline, quality, and budget
Expert ability to influence and negotiate to achieve outcomes at the highest level of the organisation
