Data Steward (Information Technology)
Equifax is looking for a Data Steward that will focus on monitoring, analyzing, and improving data quality issues in Equifax's mission critical Consumer Credit Data. This very important Data Steward role will ensure correct utilization of Equifax's core data asset through managing user access to analytic data and training users on Consumer Credit Data usage.

Design and lead the implementation of data quality metrics; conduct data monitoring and reviews to proactively identify improvement opportunities; coordinate root cause analysis and resolution. Define and implement Data Governance strategies and procedures which support business revenue generating opportunities.
Create and maintain detailed documentation outlining key business and data rules/processes.
Write, review and present recommendations to summarize data quality improvement projects, metrics, and insights. Utilize business intelligence tools to build and manage data quality metrics.
Manage the creation and testing of business rules to ensure accurate storage and usage of Consumer Credit Data. Own data quality communications with internal and external partners regarding data issues, impact analysis, and risk assessments along with recommending resolution or mitigation options.
Prepare and deliver ad hoc data requests and analyses in response to Business, Legal, and Compliance needs. Define, certify, and maintain metadata for Consumer Credit Data.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer/Management Information Systems, Information Management, Statistics, or related field
3-5 years of experience in Business Analysis and/or Data Stewardship within a Data Warehouse/Management environment
Demonstrated understanding of database methodologies and technologies along with SQL experience
Demonstrated organizational and project management skills
3-5 years of issue management experience with both internal teams and third party partners/providers
Experience with Big Data environments (experience with Hadoop technologies such Hortonworks or Cloudera, R, Hive, Pig)
Experience with BI tools such as Business Objects, Spotfire, SAS, and Infosphere
Metadata management experience
Experience with Google Cloud Platform
