Infection Preventionist & Staff Development (Healthcare)



Wage DOE: $48-$52/hour

Description

We are seeking a dedicated Infection Preventionist & Staff Development professional to join our dynamic team at Colonial Vista Post Acute. In this critical role, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining infection prevention protocols to ensure the highest standards of safety for both staff and clients. Your expertise will contribute to creating a culture of safety and education within our organization, allowing us to provide top-tier services while minimizing the risk of infections. You will collaborate with various departments to analyze and identify potential risks, develop training programs, and ensure compliance with national standards and regulations. As a champion of safety, you will lead initiatives that promote infection control best practices and empower our staff with the knowledge and tools they need to succeed. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement infection prevention protocols and policies.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for staff on infection control practices.
  • Monitor compliance with infection prevention standards and guidelines.
  • Perform risk assessments to identify potential areas for infection transmission.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to promote best practices in infection prevention.
  • Investigate and report incidents of healthcare-associated infections.
  • Generate and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of infection control strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in infection control or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of epidemiology and infection prevention principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting software.
