Position Summary

The Packout and Shipping Manager will be responsible for managing the pack out & shipping team, ensuring the timely and accurate preparation, packaging, and shipping of printed products. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of logistics processes in a high-volume production environment.

Essential Functions

• • Process Optimization: Assess cost effectiveness of products and services. Track actual costs as the project develops and compare them to estimates. Collaborate with personnel from other departments to formulate estimates and resolve issues. Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentations.
  • Team Management: Lead, train, and supervise a team of pack out and shipping personnel to ensure productivity, quality, and adherence to safety standards.
  • Production Coordination: Collaborate closely with the production and printing teams to ensure the smooth and timely transition of printed materials for packaging and shipping.
  • Quality Control: Oversee the final inspection of printed products, ensuring they meet quality standards before packing and shipping. Resolve any issues related to damaged or incorrect shipments.
  • Shipping Management: Manage all aspects of shipping, including selecting appropriate shipping carriers, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring all shipments are properly documented.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels for packing materials (boxes, tape, bubble wrap, etc.), and work with the supply chain team to reorder materials as necessary.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, documentation, and labeling requirements for domestic and international shipments.
  • Customer Service: Work closely with the customer service and sales teams to address any shipping inquiries, issues, or delays, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Education

High School Diploma or GED required.

2 year / Associates Degree 4 Year / Bachelors Degree o r equivalent work experience preferred.

Experience

• • Experience: 3+ years of experience in a print production, pack out, or shipping management role, preferably in a high-volume or fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accurate and high-quality shipments.
  • Logistics Knowledge: Solid understanding of shipping processes, including domestic and international shipping procedures, and experience working with carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and freight companies.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with shipping software, warehouse management systems, and MS Office Suite.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy boxes, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Other Requirements

Preferred - Experience with automated packing and shipping systems. Knowledge of inventory management software. Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment
